While most who have made comment seem to feel Jediism is THE main definition for all things related to Jedi, it is not the case.

There have been groups of role players and costume makers and serious students wishing to solidify what the Force and 'being a Jedi' means in the real world -- groups coming and going since the original movie came out in 1977. In the mid 80s and into the 90's the Jedi as a life style went from BBS to online forums to live gatherings, a decade or more before the outcropping of 'jedi churches' in the 2000s.

Rather then lump all under Jediism, Jediism should be a footnote linked under the main JEDI term as should mention of the role players/costumers and an entry on the Jedi Realists with attendant links.

The main argument has seemed to me to be that Jediism is notable -- i.e., makes enough headlines -- and Jedi realists are not. Or that there are not enough hits on Google that aren't from Jedi realist training sites or forums or blogs. Possibly true, but at some point in time one could have made the same arguments about Scientology or discordianism or neo-Luddism. I am inclined to agree with you that both pages should be linked on a "real world" section of the main Jedi page, but I don't think that solves the underlying problem of the conflation of Jediism and Jedi realism, followed hard upon by the corollary that Jediism is the notable one of the pair. -- Atticus Rex Δ 06:00, 9 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The only notability that I can find for Jediism is the fact that they were mentioned in news articles, there is no more text's on Jediism then there are on Jedi Realist, there are no news articles about Jedisim, they are about people who claim Jediism. Most of the information on Jediism is found the same as for Jedi Realist, on Blogs, Forums, Church's/training sites.Memnoich (talk) 17:30, 9 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
